Sacramento Area Animal Coalition is taking applications from Sacramento and Yolo County residents for Spay Day Sacramento. Residents who make $35,000 a year or less are eligible to get their pet spayed or neutered for $15 (cats) to $20 (dogs). Proof of income will be required. There is a two pet limit, and appointments will be scheduled at participating vets and animal shelters on or around March 6. Payment must be in cash on the day of the appointment. In addition to the surgery, animals will receive vaccinations, microchip identification and flea preventive. All applications must be done online at sacanimal.org.
