Local legends Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. are hosting a traveling beer festival this summer, and it’s kind of a big deal. Their seven-city tour kicks off right in our neck of the woods at their brewery in Chico before leaving for San Diego, Denver, Chicago, Portland, Philadelphia and Mills River. At their Northwest Edition festival on July 19, they’ll not only be pouring beer alongside their 12 collaboration brewers but also alongside many of the more than 600 regional craft brewers they’ve invited to participate. This event is the culmination of their Beer Camp Across America project, which boxes up a 12-pack of collaboration beers made with Russian River, Firestone Walker, Oskar Blues, Bell’s, New Glarus, 3 Floyds, Allagash and several other fantastic breweries from across the States. Attendees at the festival will get to try tons of beers (maybe even some of the beers in the collaboration pack), take away a commemorative tasting glass, chow down at some food trucks, and listen to live music. This is the elite beer fest of the summer—the pedigree of the main breweries at the event is unparalleled. For beer lovers, this event is an absolute must. For more information, see here.
