The Red Hot Chili Peppers, one of the most awarded funk rock bands to hail out of California, will soon release their highly anticipated 10th album. They have kept fans waiting for five years. However, they will not be releasing the album, I’m With You, in any ordinary fashion. On Tuesday, Aug. 30, the band will appear on movie screens around the world via satellite from Cologne, Germany, as they perform the entire new album in sequence, along with some of their previous hits. A second showing has been added on Thursday, Sept. 1 in case you miss the action the first time around.
This will be the only live performance of the album in its entirety. If you wish to witness this cinematic event, well, you’re in luck. It will play at multiple theaters in the Sacramento area. Tickets are already on sale, so check out the event site for a list of theaters near you!
