My introduction to Steve Wozniak was, shamefully, his appearance on Kathy Griffin’s reality show “My Life on the D-List.” He was dating the infamous comedian at the time, making them possibly the oddest odd couple ever. I learned from the show that he is an avid Segway polo player and a fuzzy gentle giant. Being clueless to the tech world and not an Apple owner at the time, I had no idea just how much Wozniak’s celebrity eclipsed that of his famous girlfriend.
Now that virtually everybody in this town has an iPhone, I’m plenty aware of Wozniak’s career, and even his impact on my daily life. An inventor, engineer, programmer and now philanthropist, Wozniak teamed up with Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne in the ’70s to found Apple Inc, and has been shaping the computer world ever since. He is a creative force, a shrewd businessman, and a leader and icon in the technology field.
