You can bring home flowers and a box of chocolates on Valentine’s Day, or you can step it up this year and dazzle your darling with a one-of-a-kind date on the Sacramento RiverTrain. On Saturday, Feb. 15, the RiverTrain is having a special train ride for lovers with its lovely and celebratory three-hour chocolate and wine tasting trip. As you lazily chug along through West Sacramento, Davis and Woodland in an old-fashioned train car, you’ll enjoy treats from popular Davis confectionary Ciocolat and wash it down with tastings from local wineries. Rounding out the romantic atmosphere is live music from folk guitarist Orion Walsh.
It’s rare in this hectic day and age for you to have a chance to take it slow and simply enjoy. Rather than try to book a reservation at one of Sac’s hottest restaurants for February’s Hallmark holiday, enjoy the gentle rocking of the train on its tracks with a glass of wine in hand and your partner at your side. That’s romance. For more information, see here.
