Sacramento International Film Festival: Fashion on Film

2832

Sacramento may not be a fashion hub in the same ways as San Francisco or Los Angeles, but there seems to be a trickle down (or trickle up, geographically speaking) effect for our humble city. Tucked away in little workshops and stores all over town creative, passionate designers are making clothes that end up being worn by fashion lovers across the country.

Because fashion is a visual medium, the Sacramento International Film Festival has reached out to the people behind Sacramento Fashion Week to put on Fashion on Film, a special event celebrating the Sacramento fashion industry. In attendance will be models, designers and boutique owners ready to talk shop and show off their favorite clothing pieces during a fashion demonstration, while filmmakers will be presenting several short films about fashion. The event, held aboard the Delta King riverboat, promises to be a dazzling display of the intersection between two different but complementary art forms. For more information, see here.
