Talk about an arts festival that knows how to live large: The Sacramento Arts Festival, now in its 17th year, is so grand that it attracts some 225 talented craftspeople, many of whom exhibit at some of the most renowned arts fairs in the country. The three-day festival, to be held Nov. 7, 8 and 9 at the Sacramento Convention Center, offers more than 15,000 original works—everything from ceramics to wood-carved objects, paintings both traditional and wildly modern, every imaginable kind of jewelry, handmade wearables, functional and decorative glass, and much more. But it’s more than sheer quantity: This is a juried show, so quality—and originality—reigns supreme. Live music and an eclectic array of edibles (Greek, Indian, American and more) round out this popular event.
