Rock Air: A Tribute to Sacramento’s Music Scene

I love both photography and music, and the two have merged at j27 Gallery (at 27th and J streets). Throughout the rest of the month, images of the local music scene captured by rock historian and award-winning photographer Jay Spooner—collectively called Rock Air: A Tribute to Sacramento’s Music Scene—will be up for viewing. Color and black-and-white photos of punk, rock and other bands at the Distillery, Concerts in the Park and Old Ironsides, to name a few places, fill the gallery. Want to take a trip through Sacramento’s music scene over the years? This is the best place to do it! The gallery is open Sundays from 1 pm to 5 p.m. and Mondays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
