Now that craft beer is a Big Thing, Sacramento is awash in beer festivals. Not that anyone is complaining. This week’s entrant into the long list of hoppy celebrations is an oldie but a goodie. Raley Field and the Northern California Brewer’s Guild are teaming up once more for the 8th Annual Raley Field Brewfest, set to take place at Raley Field on Friday from 6 to 10 p.m. Beer fans each get a 5 ounce tasting glass and 15 tokens to spend at the tents of breweries from all around Northern California. Nearly 48 breweries have already confirmed their attendance, with possibly more to come. Guests can expect some obvious locals—Two Rivers, New Helvetia, Rubicon, Hoppy and Lagunitas are all making an appearance—but top-notch breweries from the farther reaches of California will also be there. For the true beer nerds, there’s a rare beer tent, which costs $10 more and is only open to the first 200 purchases. Those who can’t make it to the rare beer tent can visit the Art of Cigars tent, where you can purchase hand-rolled cigars and relax in the tented lounge area. Everyone else can relax in the tented seating area on the warning track, listen to live music, or grab a bite to eat. For more information, see here.
