Pups in the Park

Reason #2,472 why dogs are better than cats: You can dress them up in demeaning costumes, put them on a leash, and show them off at a festival and they still won’t hate you for it. In other words, you and your beloved pooch can enjoy this year’s Pups in the Park at McKinley Park and not only will your dog’s love for you never wane, but your dog will probably have a good time, too. After all, dogs are social creatures, and this event brings all the friendliest, funniest, cutest Sacramento pups to one place. This annual community event has a 1K Pup Promenade, costume contests, and agility demonstrations so that all the local dogs can strut their stuff. For the humans, there will be carnival-style games, photo booths, plenty of vendors, a big raffle, and food and drinks available for purchase from several Sacto MoFo food trucks. All proceeds will benefit the animals at the Front Street Animal Shelter. So mosey on over with your furry friends—your dogs will go barking mad for it. Learn more here.
