Piano Concert at the Governor’s Mansion

Usher in the week on a good note this Sunday by enjoying the music of concert pianist Tanya Vegvary Plescia, founder of the Sacramento Piano Conservatory and former Sacramento State piano teacher.

Plescia will perform music by James Hewitt, Alexander Reinagle and Mozart at the Governor’s Mansion State Historic Park, at 16th and H streets in midtown. The concert starts at 7 p.m., and is a preview of the concerts Plescia will play at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.

Tickets are $25 and include entrance to the museum and its grounds (so arrive early). Seating is limited, but the music will be audible to all who attend. Proceeds benefit the Sacramento Piano Conservatory Scholarship Fund and the Governor’s Mansion State Historic Park.

One important note: The Governor’s Mansion is currently updating its Americans With Disabilities Act access, but at his time there is no ADA access to the interior of the mansion.
