Sacramento is truly a melting pot of vibrant cultures, and this is wonderfully apparent in the wide array of foods offered at our restaurants. On Friday, Oct. 7, join the Origins of Sacramento Walking Food and Cultural Tour, and explore the roots of our city. Participants will enjoy a three and a half hour walking tour that covers 2.5 miles of the central city. You will learn about how diverse groups forged our great city and created an agricultural framework. The tour takes you past historical landmarks, beautiful mission-style churches and classic neighborhoods. Along the way you will taste offerings from some of the best ethnic eateries. You will try foods from Morocco, Czechoslovakia, Turkey and China’s Schezwan Province.
The tour starts at 10:15 a.m. at the midtown Café Bernardo. Tickets range from $42 to $58. Be sure to bring your walking shoes and appetite!
