Not Your Grandfather’s Jubilee

2117

This weekend marks the 38th anniversary of the Sacramento Jazz Festival and Jubilee. It is probably the biggest and longest-running civic event in Sacramento, and brings in bands (and fans) from around the country and around the world. As tastes change, however, the festival has adapted. This year you’ll see more blues, zydeco, R&B, and hot jazz than ever before. Also, the festival has brought back the nightly $10 parties, where music fans can purchase one $10 ticket to see three bands starting at 9 p.m. Check out sacjazz.com for ticket prices, schedules and performers. The weather should be beautiful, so come out and enjoy and help support a great Sacramento tradition.
