Does an evening filled with the best sake from Japan and the best food from local Japanese restaurants sound like something you would enjoy? Then be sure to head to the seventh annual Northern California Premium Sake Fest on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Sheraton Grand Sacramento.
Be prepared for an evening with food and sake, a live tuna-cutting display on stage, dozens of vendors, a sushi chef competition and silent auction. North American Food Distributing Co., Inc. has hand-selected more than 100 examples of the finest sake, shochu (a distilled beverage) and Japanese beer for all to indulge.
Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the UC Davis Children’s Hospital, and the silent auction proceeds will be donated to Japan relief programs.
The event takes place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and tickets are $60. Every attendee receives a commemorative sake cup. Also, new this year, a free gift will be given to all individuals wearing a traditional Japanese kimono or yakuta.
