Unfurl your picnic blanket for a night spent under the stars watching movies, sampling rare brews and noshing on delicious local fare as the New Belgium Clips Beer and Film Tour rolls back into town for its sixth annual celebration of short films on July 24 in Southside Park.
What’s not to love about dinner and a movie? Bring your own, or choose from onsite vendors Hot Italian, Rivers Edge Cafe, and Hogs, Horns, and Hens Barbeque—but leave the alcohol to New Belgium. They’ll have up to 17 varieties on tap, from their classic Fat Tire Amber Ale to the harder-to-find Lips of Faith series.
The tour, which works with local nonprofits at each stop on its 20-city national excursion, will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from beer sales to the Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates, which works to keep the city bicycle-friendly. And you can even take in the evening’s brouhaha with a clean, green conscious: The employee-owned New Belgium has the sustainability covered by partnering with the Green Restaurant Alliance Sacramento to minimize event waste.
