You won’t have to travel far to go to “Memphis”—just hop in the car and head to Folsom. Full of infectious rock songs and great dancing, this tale of a radio DJ and a club singer looking to make it big will be performed in five shows from Friday, May 23 through Sunday, May 25 at the lovely Harris Center at Folsom Lake College. “Memphis” was a massive hit in the original Broadway production, taking four Tony Awards, including Best Musical, in 2010, so chances are good this show will be a winner.
Note: The Sunday performances offer open captioning (at the 1:30 p.m. show) and a sign interpreting (at the 7 p.m. show).
