Here’s some welcome news for residents of East Sac and midtown: a farm stand is coming your way! McKinley Park hosts its first farm stand this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in front of the library. What’s for sale: certified organic produce from Soil Born Farms plus produce from other area small farmers. Proceeds benefit local growers in Sacramento and surrounding counties and also subsidize prices of food for area residents who need assistance. So bring some cash and your canvas bags and come shop the season’s bounty.
