Ever wondered what happens when you put two real-life married people opposite each other in a musical revue full of soaring Stephen Sondheim songs about love and longing? See the sparks fly for yourself at the New Helvetia Theatre production of “Marry Me a Little,” playing Dec. 11-21.
Stage and screen performers Bradford and Kiera Anderson will lend their stunning vocals to a score that includes songs Sondheim culled from his own shows, including “Anyone Can Whistle,” “Follies,” “Company,” “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum” and “A Little Night Music.” The dynamic duo portray two hopeful singles looking for love on a Saturday night—from the safety of their separate urban apartments. The production will be directed by Kiera’s brother and New Helvetia Theatre founder Connor Mickiewicz.
Due to more mature subject matter, the show is recommended for audience members ages 13 and older. For tickets and more information, call 917-0024 or visit newhelvetia.org. New Helvetia Theatre is located at 1028 R St.
