A year ago, local comic and man-about-town Keith Lowell Jensen thought he’d have a few friends get together on Wednesday nights and trade some of their new material. They chose Luna’s, the small, unprepossessing juice bar and poetry hangout on 16th Street, as the place. Keith thought the comedy nights would last until the end of summer at most. That was one year ago.
Tonight, Keith, with special guests Ngaio Bealum, John Ross, Carlos Rodriguez, and others, celebrate a year of Wednesday night merriment at Luna’s. In what is the most intimate comedy room in town, you’ll see some locally and nationally known comedians tonight (or any Wednesday for that matter). Come celebrate and toast the staying power of laughter.
Luna’s is at 1414 16th St. The event runs from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Cover charge is $6.
