Local Open Mike Nights

Karaoke is a pretty popular form of entertainment (at least in my social circle), but why not take it to the next level if you really love performing? Sacramento, Roseville, Fair Oaks—they all have open mike nights for local musicians, singers and songwriters so they can show off their talents. And they’re fun to attend, too! Wanna know where to go? Read on.

Downtown’s Fox & Goose pub has an open mike night every Monday. Signups start at 7:30 p.m.

If you head out to old Roseville on Tuesday nights—to BASIC at 112 Pacific St.—the open mike starts at 9 p.m.

On Wednesday, visit Old Ironsides for the open mike hosted by Lare Crawley. Signups are at 8:30 p.m. and performances begin at 9 p.m.

Also on Wednesdays, the Pangea Café at 2743 Franklin Blvd. has an open mike hosted by Raj that begins at 7pm.

Just down the street at 2904 Franklin Blvd., The Coffee Garden has an open mike hosted by Shannon McCabe every Thursday at 7pm. Signups are at 6:30 p.m.

Or if you’re in Fair Oaks on Thursdays, head over to the Fair Oaks Coffee House and Deli, at 10223 Fair Oaks Blvd., for its open mike, which runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

And from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the last Saturday of every month, Lollicup Coffee & Tea in Roseville hosts the “Artist’s Playground,” which welcomes all singers, dancers, poets and other performers to share their talents.
