Sacramento is famous for its trees. Our tree-lined streets, parks and residential foliage are what earned us our “City of Trees” nickname. Check out a celebration of that leafy green reputation at the new “Living With Trees” exhibit at the Robert T. Matsui Gallery at City Hall on I Street. Presented by the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission and the Center for Sacramento History, “Living With Trees” is a combination of historic photographs, a contemporary art installation by Cheri Ibes, and an interactive element that allows visitors to share their “tree stories” and drop off or post photographs of trees. The exhibit runs until January 15, 2011. Click here to learn more.
