This Friday and Saturday, you can donate to a good cause, eat great food and partake in a fabulous fashion show all at the same time. The annual St. Francis Mother-Daughter Fashion Show actually has three shows: Friday dinner ($65), Saturday breakfast ($50) and Saturday lunch ($55). There’s also a boutique with jewelry, art and gifts available for purchase.
Curious about the cuisine? Here’s a little taste: The dinner entrée is a pink peppercorn and cumin-crusted Corvina sea bass with puttanesca sauce on sweet corn pudding and grilled delta asparagus; the breakfast buffet includes house-smoked loins of salmon with lemon-tarragon aioli and chicken-apple sausage with maple-cider glaze; and the lunch menu’s dessert is a bittersweet chocolate cake with berry salad, amaretto whipped cream and almond Florentine. Espresso, popcorn and sweet treats are also available in the theater snack bar. How delicious! And it’s all for a good cause: Proceeds benefit the St. Francis High School Scholarship Funds.
On Friday night, the boutique opens at 5:30 p.m., dinner is at 7:30 p.m. and the fashion show starts at 8:30 p.m. On Saturday morning, the boutique opens at 8 a.m., breakfast is at 9 a.m., and the show begins at 10 a.m. Saturday’s afternoon show begins at 2:30 p.m. with lunch at 1:30 p.m. Register for any of the shows here.
