I’m guilty of it. You’re guilty of it. We’re all guilty of it; driving by a little taco truck parked in an abandoned used car parking lot, eyeing it with suspicion and thinking to ourselves, “That’s not the safest place to eat. And it’s probably not even that good.”
Well, you’re wrong, I’m wrong, we’re all wrong. And to show us how wrong we are, local food maven and founder of the Sacramento Epicureans dining group Paul Somerhausen will be giving a guided tour of Sacramento’s best taco trucks this Saturday at 5 p.m.
The automotive-themed tour will start at Taqueria Jalisco on 16th and C. From there you’ll be guided all over the city, slurping up great tacos stuffed with carnitas, carne asada, lengua and cabeza. (If you don’t know what those last two are, don’t ask, just eat them; they’re tasty).
You’ll never look at food-on-wheels the same way again.
