Just Peachy

Peach aficionados, listen up: The Marysville Peach Festival is happening today and tomorrow. The 11th annual festival includes entertainment, amusement rides, a children’s area, arts and crafts, and, of course, peach-themed food. I took a gander at some of the offerings. (I’m gearing up to go myself, and I want to know how many calorie-burning miles I should run before I head over there.) On the menus of the various vendors: peach margaritas, peach cobbler, peach scones, peach tamales and peach lemonade. One vendor—Best Collateral—says they’ll be offering free slices of peach pie! Other peach-related items promised at the festival: peach cigars, peach eye shadow, peach balloons (I assume peach shaped) and peach incense. The festival runs from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, and admission and parking are free. Saturday morning early birds can take part in the 5K run/walk and enjoy a Peaches & Pancakes Breakfast after. Check out more info here.
