‘Jersey Boys’

I saw “Jersey Boys” at the Sacramento Community Center last weekend, and here’s my word to the wise: Go! A runaway success on Broadway and a Tony and Grammy-award winner, this show has it all: It’s funny, it’s smart, it’s heartwarming, it’s high energy—and, of course, the music is irresistible. Based on the story of the Four Seasons, four streetwise East Coast kids whose hair-raising harmonies and catchy tunes made them one of the greatest successes in pop music history, it’s a fascinating tale, told with authenticity and grit—including a surprising number of “F” bombs. So, the other word to the wise is, leave the kiddies at home.
