The Christmas tree isn’t the only reason to visit the State Capitol this month. From now through Dec. 23, visitors to the California State Capitol Museum will be entertained by a variety of live musical performances. The performances take place in the Capitol Rotunda; most entertainment runs from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.; however a few programs start at noon. Click here to see the upcoming schedule. The cost? Free! The museum is decked out for the holidays, adding to the festive spirit. And, of course, be sure to check out the majestic tree outside the West steps. The museum is located at 10th Street, between L and N streets in downtown Sacramento.
