Ho ho . . . no, we’re not quite done with the region’s unveiling of holiday stage shows. This coming weekend, the B Street regulars have created a seasonally festive event geared for young audiences, “Tis the Season.”

The theater company, founded by brothers Timothy and Buck Busfield a full three decades ago, describes “Tis the Season” as “a side-splitting romp kids should bring their parents to!

“Sacramento’s original professional theatre for kids and families presents timeless holiday tales with an original B Street twist. So put on your favorite, festive sweater and join us for a night of theater, music and laughs that will bring holiday cheer to all ages.”

The cast consists of Peter Story, Stephanie Altholz, Rob Karma Robinson and Karen Vance.

Showtimes are at 1 and 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18; at 2 and 6 p.m. on both Thursday, Dec. 23, and Friday, Dec. 24; and at 1 and 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26. Tickets are $19 for children and $24 for former children; they are available online. Performances are at the Sofia (2700 Capitol Ave.)

On B Street’s main stage through Dec. 26, also at the Sofia, is “A Child’s Christmas in Reno.” The world premiere is promoted thus: “Two brothers, Seamus and Dev, travel home to Reno to spend Christmas with their widowed father, Patrick. But Patrick has a special gift for them. A new wife!”
