Why fight the crowds in Napa when you can enjoy some laid-back wine-tasting in your own backyard? At the weekend-long (Aug. 2–3) Grape Days of Summer on the Placer County Wine Trail, you can sip and savor wines from 19 different wineries, soak in some fun live music, and nosh on tasty nibbles including BBQ plates, wood-fired pizza, shaved ice, artisan chocolates and more. Self-guided tours are the mainstay of this fun event, and many of the winemakers will be on hand to meet and greet you.
