Gold Rush Days

2957

During Labor Day weekend, head back in time to the days when California was a brand new state. During Gold Rush Days, Old Sacramento will be transformed to look like it did back in the 1850s. The streets will be paved with dirt, hundreds of costumed performers will take on roles of the olden days, and musicians will fill several stages as history is brought back to life.

This celebration of Sacramento’s heritage is taking place Sept. 3–5 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. all three days. Come and enjoy dancers, street dramas, wagon rides, gold panning, storytelling, craft making and horse-drawn carriage rides. The event is free.
