I am one of “those” people. I love the holidays. But like everyone else, I sometimes (OK, often) get overwhelmed by all there is to do. One thing I try to do amid the parties, the shopping, the baking (and time at the gym to keep it all in balance), is take in a holiday show or two. It really gets you in the holiday spirit. If you like singing and dancing, you might want to check out Galena Street East’s 39th Annual Holiday Tapestry Christmas Program. The show will feature young performers from the Sacramento area doing tap, clogging, a dance number inspired by the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes and holiday-themed music. The shows run Friday Dec. 10 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 11 at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Hiram Johnson High School Auditorium, 6879 14th Ave., Sacramento. Tickets are $15 general admission and $12 for students. For tickets or more information, log onto galenastreeteast.org.
