Be among the first to check out the newly revamped Terminal B at the Sacramento International Airport this Saturday night. The festivities start at 7 p.m. and include all the usual party staples: wine, food, entertainment, dancing. I hear there might even be a tour! (Get there early.)
I scored an invitation to the party because my friend’s brother worked on this project, and I jumped at the chance. I am not exactly sure why I am so excited to go to the grand opening of a new airport terminal. Maybe because the old Terminal B was so dreary I want to see the new one? Terminal A—revamped some 10+ years ago—was worlds apart from the old Terminal B, so I can’t wait to see what they’ve done this time. I’m especially excited to see the art; it’s been creating quite a stir. One piece in particular—Leap by Lawrence Argent—features a giant rabbit that looks like it’s leaping inside the building.
