“Congratulations! Today is your day,” you’ll be saying as you and your child join Fairytale Town for a special celebration of Dr. Seuss’ birthday. Indeed, you’ll be off to great places, off and away, when you walk through Fairytale Tale’s whimsical stone fence and into a world of sneedles and wumbuses and zillows and thneeds. March 2 will be the 110th anniversary of Theodor Seuss Geisel’s birth and just 13 years after the wildly popular writer’s passing. Children have been delighted by Seuss’s magical poems, stories, and cartoons for ages, and will delight in the chance to celebrate the memory of one of their favorite authors at one of their favorite parks. Fairytale Town is offering Seuss-themed activities and crafts, and will be having readings of his works all day at the Mother Goose Stage for those who delight in Seuss’ hilarious, enchanting fizza-ma-wizz-ma-dill wordplay. Slap on your Lorax mustache, your rumpled Sam I Am topcoat, or your very best Grinchy smirk and get in on the fun. For more information, see here.
