If you’re in the Davis area on Saturday night, swing by the Pence Gallery in the center of the town for a free art show put on by the gallery’s teen group, Teens Take Charge. From 5 to 8 p.m., the Pence Gallery is playing host to Createfest, a summer celebration of youth art, music, food, dance and video. Musicians Brady Corcoran, Camila Ortiz, Kill the Fascists and Crow Canyon will be outside on the street performing live, while the Pamela Trokanski Troupe will be dancing inside the gallery. Visitors can enjoy food provided by the nearby Whole Foods Market as they stroll through the exhibit. Art vendors will also be on site to peddle their creations, as will chalk artist Ruby Charon, who will be setting up a chalk art demonstration. The evening will be rounded out by a photo booth, a video fest, henna painting and several interactive art booths. Come support some talented local teens by giving Createfest a shot.
