'Casablanca'

2092

“Casablanca” is coming to the big screen for one night only as part of the Crest Theatre’s Classics series. Presented in stunning 35 millimeter, this cinematic great will delight audiences with its sharp screenplay, iconic theme song, and star-studded cast. Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman turn in classic performances as former flames reunited in Morocco. The film will be preceded by a film-specific costume contest for audience members wanting a chance to don their best raincoat-and-fedora combos. Not sold on the idea yet? How about getting in for free? OK, free is a bit of a stretch—the ticket fee is waived if you present the ticket box attendant with a restaurant receipt from a K Street restaurant. No minimum purchase is necessary, meaning that a full dinner with wine and brown butter cookies (so good) from Mother with get you in, but so will a single glass of Pabst Blue Ribbon from K Bar. For information about this screening and others in the Crest’s Classics series, see here.
