Sacramento Beer Week is going out with a bang when more than 100 craft breweries converge on Capitol Mall on Sunday, March 9. Almost all of the Sacramento breweries will be there, plus breweries from all around the region, and each is eager to show off their very best. Plus, breweries from as far as Connecticut, Montana, Texas, Illinois, Vermont, Maine and even Bavaria will be representing! SactoMoFo will be bring the area’s best food trucks to make sure all the beer doesn’t go straight to your head, too. Attendees can enjoy the beautiful lawns of the Capitol and the warm afternoon air as they sip their brews and stroll along the greens. This is the ultimate community beer fest thanks to its killer location in the center of town and right next to the light rail. You can drive if you want, since affordable parking will be provided, but I’d recommend taking advantage of the wonderful weather we’ve been afforded (and the bike valet at the event) and peddling on over. All of the proceeds from the event will go to the Runnin’ for Rhett Youth Fitness Program. For more information, see here.
