If you hadn’t heard, Dad’s Kitchen has reopened. The home-style, sandwich-heavy, down-home cooking of Dad’s Kitchen is back. And with the reopening comes the opportunity for some good, solid music and beer in a can. In true Dad’s fashion, Monday night has been deemed “eCANomy” night, featuring some of the country’s best microbrews in aluminum and some of Sacramento’s best musicians in the flesh.
Cans are making a comeback, don’t you know. Some of the best brewers in the West, like San Francisco’s 21st Amendment, or Montana’s Big Sky Brewing, or Colorado’s Oskar Blues Brewing, are all eschewing the bottle and putting their award-winning brews back in the can where they belong.
So drop by Dad’s Kitchen any Monday this summer to check out live music from artists like Ian McGlone, David Watts Barton and others, and to suck down a cold can of the good stuff. Bring your own koozie and be ready to tap your feet.
