California State Yo-Yo Championship

Rock the Baby, Walk the Dog, Splitting the Atom . . . yo-yo enthusiasts past and present know all about these and other famous moves. On March 6, watch as yo-yo players from California and neighboring states compete in the California State Yo-Yo Championship for a chance to advance to the regional multistate contest (with hopes of going on to the World Yo-Yo Contest in Florida). The contest takes place at Westfield Downtown Plaza and it’s free to spectators. Want to get in on the action? It’s only $5 to compete and there are two championship divisions and one amateur division. Oh, and the cash prize for the championship division winners? $1,000.
