Arden Park Roots Record Release

The Sacramento music scene is ever evolving, however one locally grown band is surely making a name for itself. Arden Park Roots started getting much-deserved recognition back in 2008 when the Sacramento News & Review awarded it with Best Album of the Year. Recently, the group took some time off and relocated to the Bay Area to record its third album, Pipe Dreams. The band recorded with super-producer Scott Matthews, who has worked with such names as Elvis Costello, Keith Richards and Joey Ramone. It is safe to say that the hard work may have made this APR’s best album to date.

If you aren’t familiar with Arden Park Roots, its sound is reggae and rock, and the group is known for its unparalleled live performances. It is very easy to compare APR to the late and great Sublime, blended with a talent all its own.

On Nov. 25 at Ace of Spades, band members are ready to share their latest CD with their hometown. Tickets are $10. What better way to counteract your Thanksgiving feast than to bust some moves on the dance floor?
