Spring has sprung, and with it the region’s almond trees. To see a whole lot of almond trees spectacularly abloom, head to Capay Valley on Sunday, Feb. 27, for the Almond Festival, sponsored by Séka Hills Olive Mill and Tasting Room. There will be orchard tours from noon–2 p.m. and live music by the Hey Nows from 11 a.m.–2 p.m. Food will be available for purchase from the tasting room deli and Buckhorn Grill food truck.
The free event, from 10 a.m.–4 p.m., takes place at Séka Hills’ tasting room in Brooks. The tasting room sells wines, olive oils and other specialty foods produced by the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation. For more information, go to www.sekahills.com/visit/calendar-of-events/.
