Don your goofiest golf attire and prepare your short game for a day of phantom miniature golf around midtown. The Albie Puttin’ Pub Crawl is a one-day event benefiting Albie Aware, a Sacramento nonprofit agency that raises money to help patients pay for expensive breast cancer screening tests and also provides breast cancer prevention education. A make-believe miniature golf course will spring up in various locations around midtown Sacramento.
If you’re interested in joining this golf-themed spectacle, simply show up on June 30 to register at the corner of 20th and K streets. At 1 p.m., players will head out for a shotgun-start “putt match” at nine different downtown pubs, all within walking distance. These midtown bars and restaurants have created putting holes and will offer food and drink specials. Dig out all your finest plaid garments because there will be a costume contest with prizes. You can also be sure to expect a raffle and an after party at 20th and K streets with live music. Teams are encouraged. For more information, click here.
