A Visit From Mickey Rooney

1591

One of my favorite movies when I was growing up was Pete’s Dragon, which is but a speck in Mickey Rooney’s 80-year career that includes such films as National Velvet, The Black Stallion and Night at the Museum. And the 90-year-old actor is still going strong, with movies currently in production and a new reality show on the way. And this Friday and Saturday, we have two chances to meet the legend in person. On Friday night, the American Visions Gallery in Granite Bay hosts “Dinner with Mickey,” which costs $75 per person or $125 per couple, and includes a special screening of his new reality show and a personal photo op. Then on Saturday, he’ll be at the American Visions Gallery in Folsom for a public appearance and autograph signing from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Click here for more information and to purchase tickets to the dinner.
