Soak up a little Japanese culture this weekend at the 9th Annual Sacramento Japanese Film Festival, one of four such festivals held throughout the country. Check out one film or, better yet, all seven at this event, taking place at the Crest Theatre in Sacramento. There’s something for every taste: action, comedy, anime and documentary. Haven’t brushed up on your Japanese lately? Don’t fear: All of the films have English subtitles. There’s even one silent film, and four of the selections are award-winners. Single films cost $10, or you can pay $35 for an all-festival pass. Free festival parking is available at the city garage at 10th and L streets; get your parking pass at the Crest.
