In 2001, Jennifer Cahn finished a master’s degree, started medical school and battled Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. This coming December, Cahn—who now puts “M.D,” after her name—celebrates nine years cancer free! Throughout the years Cahn has been dedicated to raising awareness and funds for cancer-related charities. This coming Friday, Aug. 20 you can help—and have a good time doing it—by attending “2010 Night of Celebration” at the Momo Lounge (upstairs from Harlow’s) from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Funds raised will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The event will feature light appetizers, drink specials, raffle prizes, a silent auction, music and dancing. Tickets are $10, and everyone older than 21 is welcome to attend. Can’t make the event but want to donate to Cahn’s cause? Log on to her Team in Training page. (Did we mention she’s also doing a triathlon to raise funds and awareness?) Full disclosure: Jen’s a friend of mine, but even if she wasn’t, I couldn’t help but say, “Go, Jen!”
