KSSJ (which stands for K-Sacramento’s Smooth Jazz) has smoothly snagged the best jazz radio station award for the 10th year running. Susan Miller (host of “Smooth Jazz in the Morning” weekdays from 5 to 9 a.m.) gets your morning started right. Lynda Clayton (host of “Smooth Jazz Work Day,” weekdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.) takes you through the daily grind. John McCorkle (host of “Smooth Ride Home” weekdays 3 to 7 p.m.) makes the commute home a little easier. And Doug Thomas (weeknights 7 p.m. to midnight) winds you down as host of “Lights Out Sacramento.” The station frequently connects listeners with smooth jazz musicians via concerts at the Radisson Hotel’s Guzzetta Grove (or, in cooler months, inside the Guzzetta Grand Ballroom).
