I had a delightful dinner recently at the new Oak Park Brewery on Broadway. The highlight of the evening was the kitchen’s irresistible “Irish fries,” smothered with rabbit gravy and melted Provolone cheese. You could easily make a meal out of this thigh-thickening dish, paired with one of the brewery’s handcrafted beers. The menu changes frequently at the brewery, but the popularity of the Irish fries suggests that they may well become a staple. This casual, friendly establishment is a great spot to meet up with friends for a lively evening. Note: If the beer-battered catfish fry, paired with a spicy remoulade sauce, happens to be on the menu the day of your visit, don’t miss it.
