Try It: Klinker Brick 2011 Lodi Farrah Syrah


I was delighted recently to make the acquaintance of an immensely drinkable (and locally produced) red wine: Lodi’s Klinker Brick 2011 Farrah Syrah, delicate and captivating, offers enticing aromas of toasted cocoa and jammy raspberries and cherries. This nicely balanced red, which would pair beautifully with beef stews, sturdy meat-based pasta dishes and roasted leg of lamb, offers lovely, earthy flavors of black currant, sun-ripened blackberries and chocolate, enlivened with a touch of black pepper, fresh mint and leather.
