Try It: Grange’s Power Lunch

Downtown’s Grange Restaurant & Bar offers a fun lunchtime option for folks who like lots of variety in their meal. The Power Lunch, which costs $19, includes a cup of soup, a “farm lettuce” salad, a half of a BLT or grilled cheese sandwich and even a teeny dessert. I relished my own Power Lunch recently—the vegetable soup was a fragrant and scrumptious celebration of local produce; and the salad greens were crisp and beautifully dressed. Grange’s crusty grilled cheese sandwich contained grilled eggplant and walnut pesto—an elegant, intriguing twist on an iconic lunch dish—and the palm-sized lemon meringue tart offered a sweet, appealing finish to a delicious meal.
