History buffs and foodies, grab your wallets—tickets have gone on sale for the 5th Annual Feast at the Fort.
This unique event is held inside the walls of Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park, and showcases a four-course, sit-down dinner prepared by some of Sacramento’s top chefs. This year the event occurs on Saturday evening, Sept. 20, and the theme is “Say Cheese”—an array of cheeses, in addition to fresh, locally grown produce, will play starring roles in the family-style dinner. Chefs from Hock Farm Craft & Provisions, Hook & Ladder Manufacturing Co., Red Rabbit and Ten22 Restaurant will prepare their courses in the Fort’s historic facilities (which include an outdoor fire pit), and guests are welcome to watch and interact with them while they work. The evening also features live, period-themed acoustic music and a silent auction.
Feast at the Fort begins at 6:30 p.m., and dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. Tickets cost $75 per person if purchased by Sept. 1, or $85 if purchased on Sept. 2 or later. An early sell-out is expected. For information about purchasing tickets, visit suttersfort.org or call (916) 323-7626.
