Sactoberfest Happens Oct. 10–12

The second annual Sactoberfest—a traditionally inspired Oktoberfest, complete with a massive Munich-style tent—will take place from Friday, Oct. 10 through Sunday, Oct. 12 in the Bridge District of West Sacramento. Promising “all of the traditional elements of Germany’s famed festival,” the lively event will include premium German beer and food, a full “familiennachmitagen” (family-friendly) carnival with rides, and an entertaining lineup of live music. There will also be an array of games in which to compete, from stein-holding and keg-rolling to wurst-tossing; and there’s even a lederhosen and dirndl dress contest for folks who like to dress up.

The fun takes place at 951 Riverfront St. in West Sacramento, and event hours are:

Friday, Oct. 10 from 3–10 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 11 from 1–10 p.m.
Sunday, Oct. 12 from 11 a.m.–6 p.m.
