Local gal Kristi Webb—teaching artist at the Sacramento Theatre Company School of the Arts, classically trained opera singer and avid home cook—recently dreamed up a crème brûlée recipe so good it has catapulted her to a cooking competition on the East Coast.
This fall, to celebrate the launch of its new Brown Sugar Blend, Truvia launched its first Baking Star contest, in which baking enthusiasts submitted videos featuring their own original recipe utilizing this new product. Kristi’s delectable crème brûlée recipe won her a spot as one of just three finalists who will compete in a bake-off to be held tomorrow, Nov. 19, in New York City.
